CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

At Dublin Community Church, children are invited to attend the first half of the worship service with their families.  The service typically includes a special “Time for Children,” after which children are invited to church school classes.  We have church school for ages 3 through 18.

Something new and exciting is coming to Dublin Community Church for children in kindergarten through fifth grade in the fall of 2009.  It is called Sunday School Express, and is based on the “Workshop Rotation Model” for Sunday School. Children will learn in-depth about seven different Bible stories over the course of the school year.  Each story will be presented in five different ways over a five-week period:

  • Cooking and Science will be experienced at The Garden of Eating
  • The Bible Story will be shared in a book or video at Christ's Campfire
  • Plays will be acted out, songs sung, and puppet shows created at Parable Playhouse
  • Games will be played at Godly Games
  • Art will happen at Noah's Art
The first story, The Rich Man (Mark 10:17-31), begins on September 13.

Please contact Mary Kate Patterson, 614-717-0849, with questions or to volunteer. It's going to be an exciting church school year!
