WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP

Women's Fellowship

The Friday morning women’s fellowship group, also known as WORD (Women of Religious Diversity), is a vital part of what means “Community” at Dublin Community Church. We are a very diverse group of women in every way, age, background, lifestyle, and denomination. We have many members of Dublin Community Church who attend, and many others from other Dublin and area church congregations.

We invite you to join our very active, diverse group of women as we study, fellowship, and support each other.  We have two groups about to begin the Fall sessions:

WORD p.m. meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month in the Kennedy Rooms of our church.  Our current study is titled:  Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit by Beth Moore.

WORD a.m. will begin a new study on Friday, Jan. 8th, with a book discussion of The Faith Club.   This book was written shortly after 9/11 by three women: one Christian, one Jewish, and one Muslim.  This promises to be a very interesting and thought-provoking book.  We will meet for six sessions beginning on Jan. 8th, 9:15-11:15 a.m. Cost of the book is $10.00.  Childcare is provided free of charge.

For more information and to sign up for either of these studies, please contact Barb Anderson, (614) 766-2214, tanderso@columbus.rr.com or Jessa Haynes, (614) 766-0723, jessupfield@yahoo.com

All are welcome to join us on our journey of faith!

A few comments from our group when asked to give their thoughts on WORD include:

“Everyone is very welcoming. They always provide an opportunity for me and my friends to talk about our faith, its differences and similarities.”

“Besides becoming more knowledgeable of the Bible, I’ve been fulfilled to be a part of such a gracious, supportive, and warm group of women. It has been a gift from God.”

“Being a part of this group has helped me stay more in touch with my spiritual self.”

“I feel so strengthened by this group. They build me up through prayer, support, humor, and general fellowship.”

“You can feel the love and support the moment you walk in.”
