The women’s fellowship group, also known as WORD (Women of Religious Diversity), is a vital part of what means “Community” at Dublin Community Church. We are a very diverse group of women in every way, age, background, lifestyle, and denomination. We have many members of Dublin Community Church who attend, and many others from other Dublin and area church congregations.
We invite you to join our very active, diverse group of women as we study, fellowship, and support each other. We have two groups that meet from September through May each year.
WORD a.m. and p.m. will begin new studies in January:
WORD a.m., our morning group, begins on Friday, January 20, with “God’s Story, Your Story", by Max Lucado. This is a video/workbook study, and the only cost is $8.00 for the workbook. We will meet every Friday morning in the Goodwill Room (lower level of our church) from 9:15-11:15 a.m. Qualified childcare will also be available free of charge each week.
WORD p.m., our evening group, will begin the same study on Thursday, January 26. We will meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the Parlor of our church (upper level).
In an effort to serve the wider community, we also prepare and serve lunch at St. Ladislaus’ church, on the South side of Columbus the 2nd Wednesday of each month. This is through the Church for All People Organization, and we serve lunch to 60-80 people who are in need living in that area. We are fortunate to be able to answer our call to serve in this way, and welcome others to join us.
Our group is open to women of all ages and backgrounds, and we welcome all to come. The only cost involved is $8 for the workbooks. Checks should be made payable to Dublin Community Church, and given to Barb Anderson or Jessa Haynes at church. We want everyone who is interested to be able to attend, so if you are unable to purchase the workbook, please contact Rev. Tussing or Pastor Bowersock at church at 889-1026, and arrangements will be made for you.
