If you have a son or daughter... or grandchild... or niece or nephew... or your child’s friend in 6th – 12th grade this school year – we would like to invite them to come and join our New Perspective Youth Group (NPYG)! We meet once a month (usually the first Sunday) in the Youth room and/or Goodwill Room throughout the school year. Our Mid-High (grades 6-8) meets from 4-6pm and our Senior-High (grades 9-12) meets from 5:30-7:30 pm. All of our youth eat dinner together from 5:30-6pm. We also do several fun activities throughout the year.

Every summer, the high school students go on a week-long mission trip out of state to help those in need. Our youth group fundraises throughout the year to pay for this trip. We have been to South Dakota, Tennessee, Maine, Massachusetts, Mississippi, and New York. This is a wonderful experience for our youth to see the needs in different areas of our country. The focus for this week is on mission, fellowship, and fun.

Mid-high students stay in the Columbus area and focus on mission work here in our own community. This “day camp” experience prepares them for our out of state senior high trip. During this week, they help at various local places such as: Meals on Wheels, St. James Largest Table, Ronald McDonald House, local humane societies, nursing homes, etc. They also have time to get to know each other and have some fun activities too.

We also welcome your friends to join us for all meetings and activities that we do. They are welcome to join NPYG, even if they are not members of our church! We do many fun activities and learn values and morals through mission work. (Please fill out an emergency form for all friends - click here to open).

SUMMER MEETINGS: During the summer, we do not have scheduled meetings. We will send emails when we are going to do an activity or plan a get-together.

EMERGENCY/RELEASE FORM: This form is required annually for all participants in NPYG activities -- friends included! Please click here to open. Complete/sign the form and turn it in to one of the leaders.

BACKYARD MISSION: New Perspective’s motto of “one person can make a difference” is the driving force behind our mission themed meetings. This mission work allows our youth to work hand in hand with other mission projects right here in our church and community. Our work helps to make an impact on the lives of many people here in the Columbus area.

NPYG ON FACEBOOK: We have a page on Facebook. We will post information, announcements and photos there for you to see. If you have a Facebook page, please “like” New Perspective Youth Group!

We would love to have you join us, and experience everything that New Perspective Youth Group has to offer! If you have questions – please email DCCNPYG@gmail.com.
